I hope this isn’t an indication of things to come….

Well, here it is Sunday and I am flying out to Detroit. I am beat! I have cleaned 4 pools today in 90+ degree weather. I guess the Trooper does need the AC fixed after all. My arms feel like that want to fall off and to tell you the truth, it really wouldn’t bother me today if they did.

I can’t say that I have done much of the “physical” work of the pool service/repair business. But what I have done, I have enjoyed. Some quiet time to yourself, not a lot of stress and the sights can be breathtaking at times like today with the warm weather such as it is. J

In terms of new clients, I haven’t hit my overall goal for the year and it is unlikely at this point that I will be adding many more clients for this season. But, I haven’t lost my shirt and that’s always a good thing. In addition, Rob and I have “normalized” operations, so next year should be much better.

Not only is it hot, but my ankle is swollen and killing me. I have come to the conclusion that I have either torn or ruptured my Achilles tendon. It has been hurting for a couple of weeks now. When I wake up in the morning, it is painful to walk on until sometime in the late afternoon/early evening. Then it just throbs. I actually looked at it on Friday and noticed that it is swollen about twice what it should be. I am going to have to attend to it this week.

But the trooper that I am makes me fly up to Detroit and help out a client who I do like a lot. Besides, I don’t want to have to hear about the airfare issues from Da Company.

That being said, I am going to try to take Thursday off and see a doctor.

I really need some time off in general. The “Gang” has been toying with getting together for a long weekend in the sun, but I am not sure I can wait. I am not sure exactly when this time off is going to happen, but my sanity hangs in the balance. Maybe I am just tired, or still feeling frustration over last week, but I feel spend at the moment. Some down time at the beach would work wonders for my soul and other body parts.

“X” keeps calling and leaving messages. It is ackward when I call in a problem, because she answers the phone a good bit of the time. I am not sure how to handle this situation. There aren’t a lot of folks that I can talk to that would understand this circumstance. Maybe Jenny. We seem to share some of the same proclivities for self-fulfillment.

I did run down a lead on a house, so maybe I can add another one to my portfolio this week or next. The decision has also been made to put a down payment on the new house to build. That would make it ready in the December to February time frame (hard to tell with all the rain we have had this year). There must be a reason that this hasn’t come to fruition yet. I called the realtor and he put me off till next week. Maybe he has hotter fish to fry and knows that this deal will be there. Perhaps one of these other jobs will materialize before I put the down payment down.

I guess that is enough for now. I am too tired to type any more this evening.

Blog on!
